Christmas Jello Shots

Festive and fun jello shots made with layers of red and green gelatin, and vodka, and topped with whipped cream. Perfect for holiday parties and celebrations.

Ingredients

  • 1 box (3 oz) red gelatin (such as cherry or strawberry)
  • 1 box (3 oz) green gelatin (such as lime)
  • 2 cups vodka (divided)
  • 2 cups boiling water (divided)
  • Whipped cream (for topping)
  • Holiday sprinkles or edible glitter (optional, for garnish)
  • Plastic shot cups or small glasses

Instructions

  1. Dissolve the red gelatin in 1 cup of boiling water in a mixing bowl. Stir until fully dissolved.
  2. Add 1 cup of vodka to the mixture and stir well.
  3. Pour the red gelatin mixture into plastic shot cups or small glasses, filling each halfway.
  4. Place the cups in the refrigerator to set for about 1-2 hours.
  5. Once the red layer has set, repeat the process with the green gelatin: dissolve the green gelatin in 1 cup of boiling water, then stir in 1 cup of vodka
  6. .Pour the green gelatin mixture carefully over the red layer, filling the cups almost to the top.
  7. Return to the refrigerator and chill for another 1-2 hours until fully set.
  8. Just before serving, top each jello shot with whipped cream and garnish with holiday sprinkles or edible glitter for a festive touch.
  9. Serve chilled and enjoy these festive, boozy treats with your holiday guests!

Notes

  • For a non-alcoholic version, substitute vodka with cold water or juice.
  • Use different gelatin flavors to create unique color and flavor combinations.
  • Make clean layers by allowing each layer to be fully set before adding the next.
