Hello guys! I’m Lillian. Sugar and Cinnamon is the place I photograph and ramble about my favourite dishes and sometimes cute animals. I like to use natural whole foods mainly, but I believe in moderation. Occasionally I’m gonna go on a sugar bender, especially when birthdays are involved. But mostly things will be balanced and good for you.
As a long-term vegetarian and (sometimes) vegan, most of the recipes on this blog use minimal animal products, and try to be as ethically sustainable as possible. I try to make some gluten free recipes as well. I often use free-range eggs from a friends farm, and sometimes some yogurt will sneak its way in as well. I don’t eat or cook with meat because animals are friends not food! But hopefully the recipes will speak for themselves and taste amazing just as they are – without need for explanation.
I don’t eat or make “diet” food, just wholesome food. Whole grains, healthy natural fats, natural sweeteners and lots of fruit and vegetables is the key to a happy life in my opinion. Ever since I switched to living this kind of diet I’ve been the healthiest and happiest I’ve ever been! With far more energy and fitness than when I ate meat and optimal vitamin levels after years of struggling with anemia.
For the photography, I am an amateur with a positive outlook! I am reading my way through multiple tutorials and trying to photograph my way into learning how to use my camera. All photos are manually taken on my Canon EOS 60D, using lately my 100mm f/2.8 macro USM lens. If you’re going to use them make sure you give recognition and a link back 🙂
